Websites for businesses began cropping up in the 1990s, and in 1999 I decided I would have one created for The Rosenberg Group. The original website was heavy on content with pages for college textbook proposals, nonfiction book proposals, fiction queries and synopses, a lengthy list of FAQs, and links to sites that were helpful to writers.
Over the years I thought about revising the site, but where would I begin?
I always tell writers “don’t fear cutting,” but I couldn’t follow my own advice and couldn’t get out of my own way. So I finally figured out where to cut – cut it all. So much of what I offered then is now readily available. But despite its age, I’m still complimented on many facets of the site, so from time-to-time I’ll be sharing a lot of that wisdom here in an updated format.
For now, I hope you’ll follow me on Twitter @RosenbergLit, while you follow your writer’s dreams.
